Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
